Nathan Orchard - Owner
Orchard is a 3rd degree black belt under 10th Planet founder Eddie Bravo. With over 23 years of mixed martial arts experience, he began his career as a wrestler, transitioning to MMA, then jiu-jitsu, and jiu-jitsu with palm strikes. A Shugyo Invitational Champion, Nathan has competed in over 20 MMA fights and has tested himself against some of the biggest names in the sport.
As an instructor, Nathan’s ability to articulate the finest details of his craft to all levels of No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu enthusiasts is well-respected around the grappling community. His coaching style is succinct and thoughtful, time-tested and experimental; he is able break down complex movements to a simple, easy to digest form while also preserving the sacred intricacies of the sport. As a student, the only limit to your martial arts journey is your ability to ask questions and find your true path. Nathan teaches what he knows works; what has been tested and proven at the pinnacle of the sport.
Prior to establishing 10th Planet Seattle, he co-founded the highly successful 10th Planet Portland.
